Hi Lucy
I just stumbled across your site today and just wanted to let you know I think the narrative and arts based work you are doing and writing about with Aboriginal communities is really inspiring! I’m an art therapist in Sydney and I work with cancer patients. For the past 10yrs I have received supervision from a Narrative Therapist/Social Worker and it is ongoingly fantastic! Like you, I think art and narrative therapy can be wonderful partners!
Thanks Fiona. I am just about to hand in my mini-thesis on the Narrative Approach to Art Therapy with Aboriginal people who have experienced trauma, to earn my Certificate in Art Therapy. There is not much written about this approach in this space and I think there is so much potential.
Hi Lucy, Just come across your website after googling Ash Dargan (who I spent time with in Nauiyu recently) and trauma. Love the site and what you are doing. Keep up the great work. Good to keep in contact via email. I’m also very interested in the impact of trauma on Indigenous peoples. My best wishes, David
Thanks David. I’d be happy to stay in contact via Linked In, if you are part of that network. Please look me up.
Dear Lucy,
I am working on a research paper for my final dissertation and was wondering if you are open to answering a few questions on your work with the Aboriginal communities, especially your Recipes of Life initiative.
With best regards, Susanna.
Dear Lucy,
This is a wonderful and very generous website. I look forward to see what emerges from this recent change. I didn’t finish your card and will do at my return. Wishing you well.
Xx Caro
I really enjoyed reading your wonderful project, I think this is great for use in all people needing a new direction to move forward.
